Section One: Astronaut Experiences Join Scott Carpenter at the 2007 U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame Inductions
As one of its first enshrinees, original Mercury astronaut Scott Carpenter will be an honored guest at the Astronaut Hall of Fame when on May 4-5, 2007, the next group of astronauts will be inducted. The winner of this lot will be invited to accompany Mr. Carpenter during the weekend's public events and behind-the-scenes with the astronauts, including:
one-night accommodations at the same hotel where Carpenter and the other astronauts will be staying;
transportation with Mr. Carpenter and the astronauts to and from each event;
Friday evening reception at the Astronaut Hall of Fame;
seating at Mr. Carpenter's table at a gala to be held at the Apollo/Saturn V Center;
"backstage access" to the red carpet at the gala;
VIP seating at Saturday's induction ceremony;
post-induction reception with the astronauts, their families and the induction selection committee;
The induction events will be hosted at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Florida.
Transportation to and from this experience is not included other than as is provided in the auction description. ASF reserves the right to disqualify the high bidder, to reject the high bid, and to accept a bid from a lower bidder, for any reason within their discretion, which shall be exercised in good faith. The winning bidder of this event may be required to submit proof of identity and be subject to a background check.
