Section One: Astronaut Experiences
Lunch at Spago in Beverly Hills, Calif. with Lois and Buzz Aldrin
One of the first men to walk on the Moon, astronaut Buzz Aldrin invites the winner of this lot to join him and his wife Lois for a private lunch at Beverly Hills Spago, the flagship restaurant of world-famous chef Wolfgang Puck.
Setting the standard for cuisine, service and style for Los Angeles' finest restaurants, Spago's kitchen — viewed through a giant wall of colorful, etched glass — is center stage for the art of dining. Surrounded by original artwork, you and a guest will dine with the Aldrins as you discuss whatever topics interest you, from the 1969 moonwalk to Aldrin's current efforts to open space travel to the masses.
At the close of your encounter, the Aldrins will pose for a photo with you — a small memento of your time together.
Transportation and accommodations are not included. The actual date of the event, not to exceed one year after the close of the auction, will be determined by the Aldrin's schedule. ASF reserves the right to disqualify the high bidder, to reject the high bid, and to accept a bid from a lower bidder, for any reason within their discretion, which shall be exercised in good faith. The winning bidder of this event may be required to submit proof of identity and be subject to a background check.
