Scott "Too Tall" Parazynski
Space Shuttle Mission Specialist
Mission(s):
STS-66 STS-86 STS-95 STS-100 STS-120
Date signed:
December 10, 2007
Comment:
Parazynski was the first astronaut to be born after the first American flew in space in 1961. He earned his nickname for being "too tall" to fly in the Russian Soyuz but had he been just an inch shorter, Paraznyski would have been unable to reach a solar array during STS-120.
